Are students allowed to stay on campus over the winter or summer break?Students are allowed to stay on campus if they agree to abide by the summer/winter break policy and their stay is approved by the KBC Director and Dean of Men/Women.
What should a student bring if they are accepted? As you are nearing your time to come out for a season at KBC, we have put together a list of things to bring and things to leave at home. We have Walmart, Kmart, and Costco on this island, so you can keep that in mind when you are deciding what to leave at home. It is recommended that you purchase your toiletries (i.e. soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.) here. There are no laundry facilities on campus, but there are two laundromats in Kapaa. On average it costs $8-10 for two loads, washing and drying. Please pack for spring/fall weather. It rains quite often but there is also a lot of sunshine. The average temperature is mid 70’s to low 80’s in the day and mid 60’s to upper 50’s at night.

How much extra money should a student have on a monthly basis? Some of the things that students will need money for are: transportation, food when meals are not provided, toiletries, and special activities. A rough price per month per student would be between $75-$100.
